Lyrical Press is now an imprint of Kensington Publishing Corp.

As of January 1, 2014 Lyrical Press is an imprint of Kensington Publishing Corp. Kensington Publishing Corp. is the last remaining independent U.S. publisher of hardcover, trade and mass market paperback books. Kensington now accounts for about 7% of all mass market paperback sales in the U.S. Through the Kensington, Zebra, Pinnacle and Citadel press imprints, the company releases close to 600 new books per year and has a backlist of more than 3,000 titles. Competitive marketing strategies are Kensington’s hallmark. Kensington boasts a dedicated sales force—men and women both in the home office in New York and in the field around the country, with their fingers on the pulse of the market. The company is able to respond quickly to trends, to put books into the hands of readers faster than larger publishers can, and to support them with targeted promotional and marketing programs to generate reader excitement.

Lyrical Press, an imprint of Kensington Publishing Corp. offers readers a rich catalog of titles ranging from tender contemporary romances to edgy erotic paranormals written by some of publishing’s brightest talents. As part of the Kensington family of imprints, Lyrical will have Kensington’s marketing machine working to expand our audience and broaden our reach.

Lyrical Press was founded in December 2007 as a small commercial fiction publisher owned by Frank and Renee Rocco. In January 2014 Lyrical was sold to Kensington Publishing Corp., with Renee Rocco staying on as Managing Director. Over the years, Lyrical Press became known for offering  readers top-quality books and authors a supportive and fun work environment.
